I was really inspired to do a tonal rendering on beige paper with white pencil for the highlights.  I like how it gave the character a lot of depth like a painting.  This has become one of my favorite traditional methods.  I want to make more like this in the future!

Quick Busts for Fun! =D

These are more sketches I did in pencil.  I wanted to try more portraits.  The first one is of my character, Iris, for a winter theme with a fur cloak.  The second sketch is of a new un-named character, trying out different hair and design elements.
